Erdinç Babat graduated from the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2002. Until 2010, he continued his artistic production in his studio in İzmir. For the past 15 years, he has been working in his studio in Istanbul.

Since the beginning of his artistic practice, Babat has focused on life and the human being. With a determined approach based on observation and internal analysis, he creates a strong inner dynamism in his works. The rich imagination he developed in this process forms the foundation of his ability to continually transform his visual language and reshape imagery.

His paintings masterfully blend lyrical sensitivity with abstract expression. The figures he constructs with amorphous structures and human forms linked to their own bodies allude to the contemporary individual’s sense of confinement. In this context, Babat’s works offer thought-provoking layers about the individual's estrangement from their own inner truth.
